Ragna Georga Rasmussen Saetrum, mother in Zion and daughter of God, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father from causes incident to age.
Born October 3, 1919 in Bergen, Norway. The only daughter and youngest child of Hjalmer and Mathilde Olsen Rasmussen. Married Bjorn Saetrum June 30, 1945, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She bravely left her family and homeland in 1948, came to America to start a new life and a new religion. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her jobs in Relief Society, Primary, and Cub Scouts. She was an accomplished Norwegian gourmet cook famous for her rasperballer, krumkaker, blutekaker, butter cookies, and other goodies. She loved to clean and take care of her family. A master arranger of flowers, and lover of all things beautiful. She made a career out of taking food to neighbors and no one left her house hungry.
Survived by her husband, daughters Margaret (Gordon) Kimball, Sandra (Reed) Rowland, sons Brent (Susan), Rodney (Kerry); 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and all of her four brothers.
Funeral Saturday, September 27, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Mt. Olympus North Stake Center, 4176 So. Adonis Drive (3950 E.) where friends may call 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors Larkin Mortuary.
