Obituary: Philip Mednick

1911 ~ 2003

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away Sept. 23, 2003, five days short of his 92nd birthday.

Born on Sept. 28, 1911, to Allen Mednick and Nettie Paver. He was married to Tillie Henteleff (later divorced), and then to Luana Maycock. He and Luana were married for 30 years. He was a past President of Montefiore Synagogue, partner in Intermountain Furniture and then became an independent upholsterer. Phil's furniture will be loved and appreciated for years to come.

He is survived by his wife, Luana; daughters Sheron Baker and Barbara Mednick; stepchildren Dean Maycock, Noral Ghoslin, Bruce Maycock and Aleda Ellsworth; sister Lillian Rosenthal; brothers Israel and Ernest; grandchildren Pamela, Westi Jo, Dale, Don, Christa, Teresa, Karin, Janna, Alexis, Jennifer, Stefanie, Mandi, Matthew, Sarah, Scott, Jeff, Kaytlin and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers Morris and David and six grandchildren.

Graveside services, Thursday, Sept. 25th at 3:30 p.m., Montefiore Cemetery, 4th North and N Street (1081 E). In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Community Nursing Service Hospice, to whom we give our heartfelt thanks.
