Obituary: Ardith Sandin Lund

1919 ~ 2003

Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Ardith Sandin Lund passed away September 23, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a long and wonderful life.

Ardith was born September 17, 1919 in Hatch, Utah to Effie Susannah Sandin and Joseph Oscar Sandin. She married Henry Kenner Lund in the Manti Temple and was happily married for 40 years. They had three children, Judith Lund Kimball (Franklin L. Kimball), David Henry Lund, and Debra Susan Lund.

She is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include her children, sister, Arlene Sandin Haney, five grandchildren, and 13 great-grand-children.

Ardith was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully as a Primary teacher for 17 years and was a counselor in the Relief Society presidency. She had a valiant testimony, was a great example, and loved the Lord.

Friends and family may call Friday evening, September 26, 2003 between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East and one hour prior to services, which begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at South Cottonwood 13th Ward, 5235 S. Wesley Road (1100 E.) Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake.
