Eleanor Lynne Jensen, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on September 24, 2003, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 23, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of
Lyman Marcus Jensen and Eleanor Jean Anderson Jensen.
Lynne was a 1959 graduate of Olympus High School where she was in "Seminar for Sallies." Her high school social group still meets annually. She attended the U of U where she was a member of PSI Chapter of Lambda Delta Sigma.
She married Nowell L. Morris on Sept. 14, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of Melinda Anne, (deceased), and George Quayle Morris, whom she adored. The marriage ended in divorce.
Lynne married Nolan Tew Feb. 6, 1978 in Evanston, WY and was sealed December 5, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced.
Lynne was incredibly loving despite her challenges with Muscular Dystrophy. She remained patient, sweet, and totally guileless.
Genuinely interested in everyone, Lynne enjoyed people and cherished her family, and friends.
She possessed a remarkable memory and courageous spirit. Lynne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in Relief Society and Primary.
Her affiliation with her study group and the Meadowmoor DUP camp brought many treasured memories.
Of all her joys, the greatest was being "Grandma Wynne" for her three darling grandchildren, Makenzie, Ashley and Isaac Morris.
Lynne is survived by her son, George Quayle Morris (Jennifer Schofield), mother, Eleanor Jean Anderson Jensen, brothers, Jay Marcus (Julie Steenblik), Lawrence Jeremy (Terri Fisher), sister, Mary Anne (Paul Sheffield), and numerous nieces, nephews and two granddaughters, (Makenzie, Ashley) and grandson, (Isaac).
Her father, Lyman Marcus Jensen, sister, Carol Jean Jensen and daughter, Melinda Anne Morris preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Cottonwood Stake Center, 1750 E. Spring Lane (5195 S.). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. on Friday, September 26, from 6-8 p.m. and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the stake center prior to the service.
