OREM — Police searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank said Thursday he may be the same man who robbed a Layton bank earlier this week.
At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, a man walked into the Deseret First Credit Union on State Street and handed a note to the teller demanding money. He made no mention of a weapon and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police reports describe the man as a white male between the ages of 55 and 60 with a slender build and dark, graying hair who walked with a limp. The man was last seen wearing a flannel shirt, Levis, sunglasses and a dark-colored baseball cap.
Police said a man wearing similar articles of clothing robbed a Layton bank Tuesday using the same method.
