Police are investigating a series of shootings that first occurred during the weekend and continued Monday.
No one has been injured in the shootings, Salt Lake Police detective Dwayne Baird said.
It appears the gunshots have been exchanged between rival drug dealers, although police were still investigating Monday.
The last reported shots were fired Monday morning on Wilson Avenue (1750 South), and two people were arrested, Baird said. One person who claimed to have been hit by a bullet actually appeared to have been injured by a fence while trying to flee the scene, he said.
There have been other reports of gunshots in the past three days and those incidents are most likely connected to the same groups that were involved Monday, Baird said.
