Obituary: Leslie E. Spencer

- Leslie E. Spencer, 79, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003 in Layton, Utah.

He was born Feb 9, 1924 in Magna, UT a son of Edwin William and Florence Elizabeth Winter Spencer. He married Rosemary Schofield on Sept 7, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He spent his childhood in Kemmerer, WY. He was an active member of the LDS church Clearfield 2nd Ward and had served as a stake clerk and in a bishopric. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and fixing cars. Leslie served our country during World War II with the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemary, Clearfield; son, Roger Spencer, American Fork; brother, Dennis L. (Ruth) Spencer, Kingston, ID; sisters, Elsie Dial, Donna Spencer, both of Spokane, WA, Margie Heiydt, Hayden, ID, Wilma (Robert) Duclos, Post Falls, ID; and sister-in-law, Arlene Spencer, Auburn, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Lester; and brother, Lawrence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thurs. Oct 2, 2003, at Clearfield Stake Center, 935 S. State. Friends and family may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 S.
