In an article about hazards of the Wasatch Mountains that ran in Monday's paper, an incorrect figure was given for a possible fall near the Mount Timpanogos trail. The actual drop would be on the order of 1,000 or 1,200 feet.

Mayor Rocky Anderson cut back his hours in his public schedule from 28 hours to 21 hours per week during an eight-week period from July to September. A headline to a story in Monday's Deseret Morning News misstated where in the mayor's work week the hours were cut back.
