Obituary: Ida Berenice Brough Maynard

1912 ~ 2003

ST. GEORGE, UT - <! > Ida Berenice Brough Maynard, 91, passed away on August 27, 2003 at home with her family.

She was born on July 19, 1912 in Lyman, WY to Ernest and Mima Marshall Brough. She married Milton Kendall Maynard Jr. on February 14, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Berenice and her husband served a 14-year labor mission for the church on the construction of the Los Angeles Temple, and other church projects in Hawaii, New Zealand, and all the surrounding Polynesian Islands.

She is survived by her husband, and her daughter Kathleen DeWidt of Irvine, CA, nine grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Robert, one grandson Michael Gally, one great-grandson Garrett Gally, two brothers, Marshall and Louis, and two sisters, Veda and Helen.

She will always be remembered for her strong devotion and loving leadership given to her family.

Funeral services will be held Sept 5 at the Pineview LDS Stake Center, 595 North 2450 East, St. George at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Aultorest Cemetery in Ogden under the direction of Heideman-Poulsen Mortuary.
