Your editorial about ethnic labels only furthers the idea that we need to break our society up into tiny fragments, each one clearly identifiable and politically correct. How about we just forget all that nonsense and regard each other as people, citizens and neighbors, friends and co-workers?
If others want to tout their origins, let them bring it up.
When I talk with someone, if my curiosity about heritage rises to a certain level, I will ask about it. Otherwise, let's promote unity and commonality rather than division and differences.
