Ship out of water

Koji Sasahara, Associated Press

A worker cleans a newly installed screw of the 86,000-ton U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk as the three-and-a-half-month dry-dock maintenance work is close to its completion at Yokosuka Naval Base in Yokosuka, south of Tokyo. The Kitty Hawk returned to Yokosuka, the Seventh Fleet's home port, May 6 after spending more than 100 days at sea during the Iraq war. It will return to sea later this fall.
