Sept. 6 — Advanced Focus/Filter class at the Family History Library, 10 a.m. A complete list of library classes is at www.familysearch.org under "opportunities for education."

Sept. 10 — Temple Square Concert Series: Pianist Tien-Ni Chen will perform works by Rachmaninov, Messiaen and Liszt in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. Free admission.

Sept. 12 — Temple Square Concert Series: German pianist Lev Vinocour will play An Evening with Prokofiev at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Free admission.

Through Oct. 19 — Museum of Church History and Art exhibit: "With Every Stitch: Historic and Contemporary Samplers and Needlework," a textile exhibit that examines the history of samplers, the importance of their symbols and prose and their use as family icons and treasures. Museum Hours: Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 45 N. West Temple. Free admission.
