A total of 35 award-winning national and local authors will present their work Sept. 13-14 at the annual Great Salt Lake Book Festival at the Salt Lake City Library, 210 E. 400 South.
The gathering of writers will feature Sandra Cisneros, Lois Lowry, Joy Harjo, Ellen Meloy and Pamela Munoz Ryan. The theme of this year's event is "finding your place."
It will include panel discussions, workshops, as well as letterpress printing and bookbinding demonstrations. Children will also be able to bring their favorite book to the event's "book hospital," to have it repaired. Teenagers can participate in a poetry slam.
