Obituary: Clair Max Lloyd

1922 ~ 2003

Clair Max Lloyd, age 81, of c, returned to his Heavenly Father September 8, 2003.

Clair was born August 13, 1922 in Riverton, Utah, the third son of Joseph

Leo "Lee" and Leah Densley Lloyd. He attended school in Riverton and graduated from Jordan High School in 1940. Clair excelled in sports -

especially football. He attended Brigham Young University for two years on a football scholarship, then joined the Army Air Corp where he received his officers wings. He married Azona Farr in the Salt Lake Temple February 23, 1944.

Clair worked hard all his life. He managed his own businesses, "The Polar King" and "Clair's Donuts" in Pleasant Grove, and drove school bus for Alpine School District for over 29 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Azona Farr Lloyd; brother Vaughn (Noriene) Lloyd; children Randall Max (Debbie) Lloyd, Danielle (Daniel) Seegmiller, Shayne (Robert) Atwood, Kalyn (Jeanne) Lloyd, Greg (Christine) Lloyd, Sharlyn (Clay) Reber, 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Leah Lloyd and his brother, Maurice Lloyd and sister Dorene Swenson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 275 East 500 South, Pleasant Grove.

Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Stake Center and on Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Riverton, Utah City Cemetery. Funeral directors - Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
