Lifetime Products Inc. said Monday it has been granted a preliminary injunction against a Canadian company that allegedly copied a Lifetime product line.
Clearfield-based Lifetime said the injunction was granted in U.S. District Court in Utah against GSC Technology Corp., which it says copied the Personal Table product line that Lifetime introduced last fall.
Lifetime has sued for alleged infringement of patents and copyrights regarding the product line designs as well as the promotional materials that accompany the products.
The injunction bars GSC from importing or selling its product and promotional materials in the United States.
The court also ordered GSC to offer its tables in its customers' inventory at the price at which they were sold, plus shipping and handling, and it ordered GSC to tell customers about the injunction and its ramifications.
