A search committee is sifting through 59 applications for the position of president of Salt Lake Community College. Applications have come from 27 states and two foreign countries, said Daryl Barrett, the State Board of Regents member who heads the committee.
The 18-member committee has held meetings with faculty, staff and students of SLCC, as well as the public, to gain direction in choosing a new president, she said. A list of finalists will be made public prior to board interviews, Barrett said. The regents will make the final selection.
Judd Morgan is serving as interim president pending the selection.
