Sarah Jane Riley Jensen passed away January 10, 2004, in Salt Lake City at the age of 87.

Jane was born September 3, 1916 in West Hiawatha, Utah to Robert and Hannah Reynolds Riley, the third of nine children. She was reared in Clawson, Utah on the family farm. On May 2, 1938 she married James Howard Jensen in Panguitch, Utah. She and her sister, Mary, married brothers and had a double wedding. Howard passed away May 26, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland Temple.

Jane was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in the Primary and Relief Society. She enjoyed quilting and made hundreds of quilts, which she gave to her children, grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great-grand children, along with other family members and friends. Each quilt is cherished because of the love which went into each stitch. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Jane is survived by her children, William H. (Betsey) Jensen, Nedra (Kenneth) Nielsen, Peggy (Charles) Kole, Donald D. Jensen and L. Thomas Jensen; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jensen, brother, Robert (Aleen) Riley. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, Thomas W. Sheffield, James E. Riley, Jack E. Riley, L. George Riley, and two sisters: Hannah Tucker and Rose Marshall, and one grandson, Charles Kole.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., in the South Jordan Stake Center, 2450 W. 10400 S., South Jordan, Utah. Friends may call on Wed.

from 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center Street, Provo, Utah, or on Thurs. at the church one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
