William Lawrence Bordeaux, age 90, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004, at his oldest son William's home in Summerlin area, Las Vegas, NV. He succumbed to complications associated with old age.

He was born in Billings, Montana March 4, 1913, to John and Anna Bordeaux. The family moved to Sheridan, WY, where as a young high school graduate he worked delivering Western Union telegrams on a bicycle. As a young adult he worked during the Depression for the Conservation Corps, followed by employment with Union Pacific Railroad during World War II.

He married Eunice L. Karlinsey of Lovell, WY, September 12, 1936, a marriage lasting 62 years until her death in 1998.

They moved to Provo, Utah during World War II where he assisted in building the Geneva Steel Works, and then worked there as a pipe fitter for 32 years until retirement.

He was baptized in his youth as a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by three sons: William (Las Vegas), Jerry (Canada), and John (Los Angeles). He has five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be an open casket viewing at the Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center St. in Provo, Thursday, January 15, 2004 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Interment will be next to his wife in the Provo City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow in Las Vegas, NV in late February.
