- Kenneth Lee Hansen, 84, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
He was born December 28, 1919 in Rigby, Idaho the son of Oscar J. and Anna Alverta Bahlke Hansen. He was reared and educated in South Eastern Idaho. He had resided in Tabiona, Utah and Kaysville, Utah.
Kenneth married Elva Loriene Kneedy on September 26, 1943 in Murray, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in the Army during World War II.
Kenneth was a member of the Kaysville 1st Ward and served as choir leader in many wards. He had served in many positions, as a temple worker, Bishop's storehouse, Branch President in the Thompson Falls Branch, Montana, and Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
He enjoyed woodworking, wood, glass and metal carving, music, building two homes and remodeling homes.
Surviving are his wife, Elva Loriene, three sons, Kenny Jay (Valerie) Hansen, Layton; Gary Drew (Toni) Hansen, Kaysville; Kipp Monty (Lesa) Hansen, Clearfield; one daughter, Lorille (James) Clark, Eagle Mountain; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Clyde (Donna) Hansen, Bountiful; Donald (Helen) Hansen, Tooele; and one sister, Evah Sargent, St. George. Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lori Ann and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 1st Ward, 198 W. Center Street, Kaysville, Utah.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Monday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. E-mail condolences to the family at llm@lindquistmortuary.com
