FRANCIS, UTAH - Melva Gibbons Page, age 84, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 in her home.

Melva was born to Ray and Jane Mildred (Wilde) Gibbons on October 28, 1919 in Oakley, Utah. She married Leo Prescott Page on January 31, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Melva was a member of the LDS Church where she served as Relief Society President and a temple worker in the St. George, Utah Temple. She was a member of the Kamas Valley Riding Club and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and fabric painting. Above all, she loved and cherished her family.

She is survived by daughters, Zora G. Foote of Bullhead, Arizona; Brenda G. (Kenneth) White of Henderson, Nevada; Terry Sue (Paul) Mitchell of Francis, Utah; and Hettie Ann (Mike) Fitzgerald of Roundup, Montana; sons, Koy G (Phyllis) Page of Oakley, Utah; Kim G. (Cindy) Page of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Stan G. (Cheryl) Page of Durango, Colorado; 36 grand-children, 65 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Page; daughters, Lu Wanna Page, Jane Fibranz; a son,

Ralph Page; a brother, Reno Gibbons; and three grandchildren, Jerry Clay Page, Justin Michael Fitzgerald, and Todd Page.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Francis LDS Ward Building. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to service on Thursday. Interment will be at the Wanship Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
