I am pained over the plight of Mayor Nancy Workman. I met her during the Jeff Wright campaign for Congress. I felt then, as I do now, that she is a noble and upright woman.
I do not believe she would intentionally do anything crooked. I know she didn't use the money for herself. With all the complexities associated with running such a high office, is there no room ever for a mistake? Does a county official have to be perfect?
I am afraid that with all the "barracudas" and "piranhas" in the political waters waiting to devour the candidates, good and talented people will hesitate to run.
I intend to vote for Mayor Nancy Workman in the upcoming election, and I will be watching for any imperfections in Mr. Yocum.
