Obituary: Owen Tim Caldwell

1941 ~ 2004

VERNAL - <! > Beloved father, husband, brother, and friend, Owen Tim Caldwell, age 62, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center in Vernal, Utah.

Owen was born December 26, 1941 in Vernal, Utah to Orson and Annie B. Caldwell. He married Sherry Lee Jones June 9, 1967. He attended and obtained a degree in drafting at the Salt Lake Community College. Later he obtained a BS degree in accounting at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1959-1963 and was called to active duty from October 1961 to August 1962. Owen was a marksman and loved shooting trap and golfing. He owned the Polar King in Vernal, Utah and cooked a good hamburger for over 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Owen is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherry; and two children, Tim Kenneth Caldwell of Logan, Utah, and Kaysie Lee (Morgan Jeff) Ainge of Logan, Utah. Also survived by brothers, Keith B. Sr. (Lila) Caldwell, and Terry J. (Kathleen) Caldwell, both of Vernal, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2004, 11 a.m. at the Vernal 9th Ward LDS Chapel in Vernal. (250 N. 200 W.). Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Interment will be at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery in Vernal with military honors by the American Legion Post 124 and 11.
