A Taylorsville man was arrested this past week by West Jordan police for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor for more than a year.

The man, 46, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of 10 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and an additional 10 counts of unlawful sexual conduct.

The man allegedly began having a sexual relationship with the girl when she was 15, and it continued when she turned 16, according to a probable cause statement from the jail. The victim is now 17.

The man admitted to having sex with the girl multiple times, according to the statement. The girl said she had sex with the man more than 100 times, according to the probable cause statement.

The man has been the coach of a young girl's softball team in Taylorsville and reportedly also works part-time as a magician at parties. The man reportedly met the victim at an event where he was performing his magic act.
