Obituary: Albert West

"Loving husband, dad and grampy"

Albert West, 87, passed away October 10, 2004.

He was born April 7, 1917 in Sublet, Wyoming to Samuel and Marie Wilpart Nishimura. He married Bonnie Turner in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 10, 1938.

He worked as a Radiation Technician for the State of Utah and was a Veteran of World War II. For many years he was a member of the Salt Lake County Jeep Patrol and later with the Salt Lake County Search & Rescue. He loved sports and was supportive of his family in their sporting activities.

Survivors: wife, Bonnie, Draper; children, Gregory, Lyden, WA; Rickey (Sheri), Sandy; Janalyn (Keith) Short, Draper; grandchildren, Terry, Shelly, Mike, Stephannie, Brad, Brent, Byron, Brittany, Tami, Jeni, Amber, Alex, Nick, Kelle; great-grandchildren, Shannon, B J, Kody, Justine, Brandee, Noah, Carter, Christian; great-great-granddaughter, Tatiana; also a daughter-in-law, Claudia. Preceded in death by children, Albert W. Jr. and Dennis; daughter-in-law, Gerrie; great-grandson, Sean.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Draper 12th Ward, 12300 South 600 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. or Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
