Ora Walker Jensen, 92, passed away Oct 11, 2004 in Salt Lake City.

He was born October 13, 1911 in Salem, ID to Joseph E. Jensen and Dollie Walker Jensen. He married Wanda Garner, later divorced. He married Lois B. Werrett on October 18, 1948. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Over the years Ora served in the bishopric, stake high council and directed the operations of the Tri-Stake Cattle Ranch, located in Grantsville, for numerous years. He was the founder and owner of Jensen Oil Company, a local major petroleum distributor. He was a past president of the Western Oil Marketers Assoc. Ora was a devoted husband, father and brother. He loved family gatherings. Ora owned horses all of his life and was an expert horseman. He was a man of the land and a cowboy at heart.

He is survived by his wife, Lois, daughter Joy J. Detmer, sons David E. and Paul W. Werrett, sister Belva Petersen, brother J. Golden Jensen, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, J. Kent Jensen, two sisters, Ilma Withers and Mae Branting, and one brother, Ralph Jensen.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood 2nd Ward, 2080 East 5165 South. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive.
