- Roena Joy Taylor returned home to her Heavenly Father October 9, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was filled with the pure love of Christ and opened her heart and home to everyone.

Born Decemer 15, 1923 to Heber C. and Lydia Harding Taylor in Aurora, Ut. She married Orlo F. Hales October 1, 1941 and they were the parents of three children, Carolin, Bob and Dent. They were later divorced. She married Virgil Ray Taylor October 16, 1992, in the Provo LDS Temple.

Joy enjoyed serving in the LDS Church. The last 10 years, she and Virgil, served as church service missionaries at the Church History Museum and Conference Center. She had a special creative talent exhibited in music, dance and painting. Her greatest joy was spending time with Virg and their family.

She is survived by her husband Virgil, children, Carolin (Dennis) Horan, Bob (Karen) Hales, Dent (Deborah) Hales, Karen Taylor, Susan (Winn) Westmoreland, Von (Karen) Taylor, 17 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Mildred Taylor and Deon Taylor.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Samuel Crowther, Oral Taylor, Tom Taylor, Linford Taylor, Glen Taylor, Wendell Crowther, Sherrel Taylor, sisters: Vonda Clark, Otheya Cooper, Ora Jensen, Veone Cloward, Berta Jean Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Alpine 1st Ward, 676 No. Eagle View Drive, (West on 200 No. and North on 400 W.) Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 -

8 p.m. at Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 N. 900 E. American Fork, Utah (located four blocks north of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple) and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Alpine City

Cemetery.
