Much has been said in these pages about gay marriage and how it will ruin the family, yet not one person has written anything about how gay marriage will affect their family. Not one of your kids is thinking right now, "I would be gay . . . if only they were allowed to marry."
This country was founded on the principles of freedom, but it seems that those of us who claim to love freedom so much spend our time trying to restrict other people's freedom. The fact is that no matter how many gay couples get married, it will not adversely affect anyone's family.
In my large LDS family, however, we would probably get a new brother-in-law. I challenge anyone to write a letter that describes how gay marriage will adversely affect their family.
