Game and puzzle sales growing

From 2002 to 2003, sales of games and puzzles in the United States rose from $2.2 billion to $2.4 billion, an increase of nearly 11 percent, according to the Toy Industry Association.

While sales for the toy industry overall were down about 3 percent, board games and puzzles grew in popularity. They were the fastest-growing sales category, at over double the 5 percent growth of the next highest category, arts and crafts.
