MOCCASIN, ARIZONA <! > - Mitchell Davis Kapuni Kalauli Sr. passed away on October 14, 2004 in St. George, Utah at the age of 64.

Born June 5, 1940 in Keaukaha, Hilo, Hawaii to Alexander Kaneluahonua and Elizabeth Ka"aiohelo Kalauli, the ninth of 13 children, he served a mission for the LDS Church in the Southwest Indian Mission. Following his mission, he married Winnafred Brown of Moccasin, AZ, on January 27, 1966 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Winna; his ten children Michelle and Dan Oldroyd, Mitch Jr. and Nickie Kalauli, Jennie Kalauli, Joann and Jasen Ah You, Kelly and Aundrea Kalauli, Kahealani and Anson Baker, Nani and Walter Foster, Nathele Kalauli, Kalae Kalauli, and Loren Holly; 19 grandchildren, and over 50 foster children. He is also survived by his brothers Freddy, Richardson, John, Danny, and Randy Kalauli, and his beloved sister, Nani Kaeha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Elizabeth, his oldest brother, Alika, and five siblings who died in infancy.

Viewings will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2005 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, October 20 from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Kanab Kaibab LDS Stake Center, 1435 So. McAllister Drive in Kanab, UT, with the funeral at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be at the Moccasin Cemetery in Moccasin, AZ under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.
