Frank Delano Bolin, 71 of Salt Lake City, Utah, died October 12, 2004.

He was born June 22, 1933 in Jeff, Kentucky to Jess and Gladys Bolin.

Frank served in the U.S. Air Force for 27 years, retiring as a chief master sergeant. He served in France and Germany, 1953, England, 1954, Japan, 1957-61, Vietnam 1963-64 and 1971-72, and Korea, 1977-78. Married Viola V. Lucero on January 24, 1953 in Tooele, Utah. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service from 1978 - 1990 and member of the Local 332 Union. He was a life member of the Square and Compass Masonic Lodge of Kunitachi, Japan. He was recently baptized into the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Viola; three daughters, Debra Ann (Robert A.) Peters, Pamela J. Parker, and Kathleen M. (Steven R.) Coombs; five grandchildren, Loretta Ann Peters, Russell K. (Jasmine C. Wilson) Boehmer, Jessica M. Bowman, Chad V. Bowman, and Gladys Christy Boggs; two great-grandchildren, Teresa Hernandez and Jaiden Boehmer; brother, Charles A. Bolin and nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff and hospice of the V. A. Medical Center, Harmony Care Center/Hospice, Neil O'Donnell and Sons, and St. Ambrose parish. And a special thank you to Cindy Sutter, Frank's home health care nurse practitioner for caring for him for the past 10 years.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, where friends may call one hour prior to mass. Committal, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street. Funeral Directors, Neil O'Donnell and Sons.
