Obituary: Lendell Lyman Link

Lendell Lyman Link 87, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004 in Brigham City.

Lendell was born March 30, 1917 a son of Gustave Link and Lula Mabel Chase Link.

He married Beverly Consuella Benson August 4, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple August 6, 1956. Lendell served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1969. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.

Lendell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as branch president, stake executive secretary, ward clerk and served as a temple worker for several years. His latest calling was serving with his wife as a greeter at their ward.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly, Brigham City; children, Jeffrey Len (Sharon) Link, Riverside, CA, Janet Link (Paul) Madsen, Kent, WA, and Renee Link (Max) Woolsey, Brigham City; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lew Link; and sisters, Lila Kroh and Laura Link.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004, 2 p.m. at the Brigham City Lakeview Ward Chapel, 865 South 300 West, Brigham City. Friends may call Monday, October 18, 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and Tuesday, October 19, 1-1:40 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the combined veterans from Box Elder County.
