Kay returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully October 15, 2004, in Orem, Utah.
She was 84 years old and enjoyed a full life dedicated to family and church. She served in many volunteer capacities, primarily with the Boy Scouts of America and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Kay was born April 8, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Hyrum and Elmira Schneider. She married Hubert Vernon Nuttall, in the Salt Lake Temple, June 21, 1943. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage, and Hub preceded her in death June 7, 1975. Following their World War II years, they lived and raised their children in Southern California. Most recently she resided in St. George and Orem, Utah. In her later years she has enjoyed traveling and visits with family.
Kay is a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her four children, Phyllis (Robert) Bray of Cary, North Carolina, David (Mary-Ann) Nuttall of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Larry (Kathy) Nuttall of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Becky (Gary) Quick of Lexington, Kentucky. She has 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Kay is also survived by her sister, Camilla (Frederick) Smyth of Walnut Creek, California; and her brother, Noland (Patricia) Schneider of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family is sincerely appreciative of the tender and loving care Kay has received from the staff at Canyon Breeze Senior Living in Orem and Comfort Care Hospice of Provo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah.
