Obituary: Evelyne Alma Johnson

1913 ~ 2004

Evelyne Alma Johnson, 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away October 14, 2004 in Sandy, Utah.

Born July 16, 1913, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Nellie Eldredge and Elroy Barney Wilkins.

Early years were growing up in Roosevelt and subsequently graduating from University of Utah. Following graduation from U of U, she completed training at the Bishop Johnson School of Nursing, graduating and receiving a credential as a registered nurse. During this time she met and married her eternal companion of 63 years, Clyde L. Johnson.

Her nursing career began as county public nurse for the State of Utah. When the family moved to Los Altos, California, in 1953, she served as supervisor of nursing at Santa Clara Co. Valley Medical Center until she retired. Upon retirement the family moved to Kanab, Utah, and later to Sandy, Utah.

She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by son Larry M. Johnson (Judy) and daughter Rebecca Jones (Mark), three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. in Sandy. Friends may call one hour prior to service.
