Christina Aguilera is sure she knows what a girl wants — and that's to get political.
The "Beautiful" singer has taken time out to urge young women to vote in the forthcoming U.S. presidential election, reports Ananova.
Aguilera fronted a documentary on MTV in which she stressed the importance of voting and women fighting for their rights. On "Total Request Live," she told her fans to "start a revolution" and criticized women who were planning to ignore their voting privilege.
"I think it's disrespectful as a female in this country to other females before us. They paved the way to even give us a right to vote. We really need to exercise that right."
