Obituary: Virginia R. McCarty


Our loving sister, life partner, and aunt, Virginia Ruth McCarty, 61, died October 18, 2004.

She was born November 20, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lester Allen and Ruth Anna Fletcher McCarty.

Ginny graduated from East High School. She honorably served in the U. S. Army from 1962-1966 in Germany. She was a very kind, loving, and considerate person. She remained true and loyal to her life partner, Dot. Ginny loved her family dearly and unconditionally. She lived in California for 35 years, returning to be with her family a year ago.

She is survived by her companion, Dot; brothers and sisters, Patricia Cecala, Lynn Pelletier, Edith (Richard) Acey, Eileen Baird, Kathy Tsutsui, Steve (Pat) McCarty, and Ruth (Joe) Masnica, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Allen, and loving aunt, Marian.

A special thanks to the staff of the VA Medical Centers in Salt Lake City and Sacramento.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:00 Noon at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 E. 100 S., where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street.
