It is good to see doctors question the "norm" that birth inductions have become ("Induced births may put babies at risk," Oct. 20). Induced births do not only put babies at risk but mothers as well. An induction should never be done on a mother attempting a vaginal birth after a C-section. Having buried my son due to a uterine rupture after being induced, I implore mothers to be patient and let nature take its course. A few more days of discomfort may save you a lifetime of sorrow.
