I'm currently living in a homeless shelter here in Salt Lake City, having arrived in Utah about three weeks ago from Missouri. I have a prison record for a first-time nonviolent, non-drug related felony. I suffer from physical disabilities that cause chronic pain and weakness in both legs. I used to be a drunk, until the healing power of Jesus Christ cured me of that affliction.

I appreciate all of the good works being done, by so many people from so many different faith groups, to help those in my situation. I just wish that some other homeless guys would straighten up. These miscreants are a minority of the homeless in Salt Lake City, but they create a lasting negative impression in the minds of the public.

Perhaps, the Salt Lake police should crack down on these characters! I surely won't miss them at the shelter.
