MAGNA — Salt Lake County Sheriff's detectives were investigating a suspicious death here Monday.
Shortly after 8 a.m. deputies were called to a house near 8500 West and 3500 South. A 6-year-old child in the house called 911 to say the mother was not breathing, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Rosie Rivera said.
Four children, a mother and father lived in the house. A couple of young children had gone to sleep in the same bed as the mother Sunday night, Rivera said.
When they awoke in the morning, the children found blood coming from their mother's mouth and she was not breathing, she said.
An autopsy is planned to possibly determine the cause of death.
