PROVO — The director of Records and Information Division for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Brigham Young University.

David E. Rencher will speak on the theme, "Faith and Finding." His lecture will be in room 3228 of the Wilkinson Student Center.

Along with his responsibilities with the LDS Church, he also serves as the vice president of the Genealogical Society of Utah and was the president of the Federation of Genealogical Societies from 1997 to 2000.

Rencher became a professional genealogist in 1977. He graduated from BYU in 1980 with a bachelor's of arts degree in family and local history.
