Though there are many great problems in our society today, one of the seemingly insignificant ones broods my discomfort: high school. In many large high schools there seems to be a competition of sorts.
Too many girls, not enough attention from the boys. The styles of today seem to feed on this cry for attention. The hemline is shortened, the neckline and waist line plunge, and it seems we are getting a free anatomy lesson. The boys are no exception.
We aren't at school to see a parade of bodies. It is because of this that many schools have made a dress code. Jordan School District has one, yet it would be extremely beneficial to those who want a positive learning environment to have this dress code actually enforced.
