The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System will hold influenza vaccination clinics for enrolled veterans at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
To be sure that those at greatest risk are protected first, vaccinations will be provided to enrolled veterans who meet the priority criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Enrolled veterans must be 65 or older or have chronic lung disorders, heart disorders, metabolic diseases including diabetes, kidney diseases, blood disorders or weakened immune systems, including HIV/AIDS and pregnant women.
The clinics will be held Monday, Nov. 1, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for veterans whose last names begin with letters A through H; Tuesday, Nov. 2, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for those whose last names begin with letters I through O; Wednesday, Nov. 3, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for those whose last names begin with letters P through Z.
The medical center expects to have enough doses for all enrolled veterans who qualify. Veterans are asked to report to the lobby area at the main entrance to check in. For information, call 801-582-1565, Ext. 2666.
