Auditions are scheduled for several upcoming regional stage productions.
Thursday, 6:30-8 p.m., for the Children's Theatre of Salt Lake production of "Merry Christmas, Amelia Bedelia," co-directed by Owen and Amy Richardson. There are roles for performers of all ages. Come prepared with any 30-second monologue. Some roles may be shared if cast members are unable to perform at all scheduled performances (including several weekday school matinees).
Public performances are Dec. 3-18, including three Saturday matinees. Auditions will be held in the theater, 638 S. State (532-6000, extension 2).
Tuesday and Thursday, in West Jordan City Hall, 8000 S. Redwood Road, for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." There are roles for children ages 6-16 and adults of all ages. Oct. 16, noon-3 p.m., for the 3.2 Improv Theatre Company, a troupe that performs "short-form improv" on Thursday evenings at the Tavernacle (a private club) and Friday evenings at the Center Theater, located directly behind Stonewall Coffee, 355 N. 300 West. The auditions will be held in the theater. Auditioners will be asked to do some improvised scenes and play some short-form games. All performers are paid. Oct. 19, 7-9 p.m., in the Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 W. Center (7720 South) for the Midvale Arts Council production of "She Loves Me," directed by Linda Littlewood and scheduled to run Jan. 7-15.
All roles are open for performers 16 and over in this musical version of "The Shop Around the Corner" (most recently filmed as "You've Got Mail"). Come prepared with 16 bars of an upbeat song. An accompanist will be provided (no recorded music, please). Current photographs and resumes are welcome but not required.

Oct. 23, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Grand Theatre, 1575 S. State, for "I Do! I Do," a two-person musical comedy following 50 years in the lives of a married couple. There are roles for one man and one woman. Come prepared with a full song, preferably not from the show. An accompanist will be provided. Play dates are Jan. 28-Feb. 12. Jerry Rapier is directing.
