Salt Lake police have arrested two more people in connection with the death of a Glendale woman during a burglary of her home.

William Irish, 19, and Rodney Renzo, 19, have both been booked into jail for investigation of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery in the death of Donna Bott.

Bott, 75, was found dead in her home near 1100 South and 1200 West on Oct. 1 after neighbors noticed that she had failed to bring in her newspapers. A medical examiner's report found the woman had died from strangulation and injuries sustained from a blunt-force trauma. She is thought to have been dead for at least two days when found last week.

On Wednesday, police arrested Floyd Eugene Maestas, 48, in the woman's death. Irish and Renzo were arrested the following day, Salt Lake police detective Phil Eslinger said. Maestas has also been booked into jail for investigation of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

Bail for all three men is set at $1 million.

Aggravated murder is a capital offense punishable by the death penalty. Aggravated robbery is a first-degree felony that carries a possible sentence of life in prison.

The three men are also alleged to have committed a home-invasion robbery in the 700 block of Navajo Street (1335 West) on Sept. 28. In that robbery, the shirt was pulled up over the head of the elderly female resident of the home and her purse taken. The are also suspected of throwing a brick at a front window of a woman's home.

Police are still investigating the possibility that at least one of the men might be responsible for a Sept. 22 robbery at Bott's home. In that instance, she awoke and shouted at a man who was rifling through her dresser. The man fled the home and was not apprehended that night.

Maestas was released from the Utah State Prison Sept. 7 after serving more than four years for a third-degree felony conviction in 2000.
