"May the Force Be with You"

On March 4, 1967, Gary Babcock entered the world in Murray, Utah to embark on an incredible journey. He was welcomed into this world by mom and dad, William Frederick and Susanne Babcock, and big brother, Mark. He was a vivacious, fun-loving kid at heart and adventuresome. He developed a great love for music, taught himself guitar and was a gifted songwriter.

Gary married the love of his life, Becky Mackay, November 17, 1990. Together they made a comfortable, happy home with their fur children, Pepper and Lucky. He was a Star Wars collector and fan, liked "Fascination" at Lagoon, loved playing guitar, singing and composing, loved movies, loved to read the scriptures, was a member of the LDS Church, served as a full-time missionary in San Jose, CA.

He loved and was loved by his wife, fur kids, family and many friends. He loved the scriptures and Star Wars.

He is survived by his wife; parents, Fred and Susanne Babcock, Mesquite, NV; brother, Wm. Mark (Lorraine), Herriman; grandparents, Que and Jessie Sorenson, Murray. Preceded in death by a sister, Sherrie Ann; grandparents, William F. Sr. and Pearl Babcock and mother-in-law, Maurine Mackay.

William Gary Babcock, 36, died peacefully at home on February 18, 2004 after a valiant and courageous battle with Cystic Fybrosis, enduring to the end without complaint. Gary was a loving husband, son, brother and friend to many.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Jordan Meadows Ward, 3935 South 1500 West. Visitation Friday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home and from 10 - 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
