Centenary United Methodist Church will present its second annual silent auction and dinner on Saturday, March 13, 4-7 p.m. at 1740 S. 500 East.

Special guests for the event will be Big Fish Story in concert. They are a multigenerational Christian band.

The group will also worship with church members on Sunday, March 14, at 11 a.m.

The public is invited. For more information, call 485-9831. "Moving Beyond the Movies," lectures on "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Passion of the Christ" movies, will be held next week by the Salt Lake Theological Seminary.

On Thursday, March 11 at 7 p.m., David Heikkila will speak on "Lord of the Rings: Christian Themes in Tolkien's Middle Earth" in the east ballroom of the A. Ray Olpin Union Building, University of Utah.

For four consecutive Fridays — March 12, 19 and 26, and also April 2, at 7 p.m. nightly — themes from "The Passion of the Christ" movie will be addressed in the Gore School of Business Auditorium at Westminster College.
