Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Assignments for all mission presidents were announced in the March 6, 2004, Church News. The new leaders and their wives are:
Stephen Kent Ashton, 56; Washington Everett Mission; Stonegate Ward, Las Vegas Nevada Warm Springs Stake; counselor in the bishopric; former temple ordinance worker, stake Young Men president, high councilor, ward executive secretary and missionary in New Zealand. Self-employed. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Marvin Jeremy and Norma Bernston Ashton. Married Wendy Rae Delamare, eight children.

Richard Lee Bracha, 47; Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission; Cardston 6th Ward, Cardston Alberta Stake; bishop; former elders quorum president, ward clerk, ward financial clerk, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the Arizona Tempe Mission.
