The Deseret Morning News sponsors the annual competition, in which entrants try to guess winners of state high school basketball tournament games.
First-place winners each receive $50 and a Hoop Picks T-shirt. Six runners-up in each contest receive T-shirts.
5A BOYS: Calder took first place among 301 entries by correctly prognosticating 11 of the 15 5A boys games, including the championship game, one of two semifinals and three of four quarterfinals.
