GYMNASTICS: Southern Utah and Utah State universities will meet once again this season, at the Western Gymnastics Conference championships, at 7 p.m. Friday at Boise State University.
Southern Utah, ranked 28th nationally, leads the conference, with No. 30 USU second.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The University of Utah women's tennis team was crushed 7-0 by No. 70 Nebraska on a neutral site in Newport Beach, Calif. on Wednesday.
BYU
MEN'S TENNIS: After a full week off, the BYU men's tennis team will face four teams in the next five days as they hit the road to take on No. 72 UC Santa Barbar on Saturday, No. 26 Arizona State on Monday, No. 7 Stanford the following day and finish the road swing against No. 23 California Berkeley on March 24.
The 1-10 Cougars have played some of the top-ranked teams in the country.
VOLLEYBALL: The Cougars' women's volleyball 2004 schedule features 28 regular-season matches against 21 opponents, 14 matches each against Mountain West and non-conference foes, with 16 matches at home and12 on the road.
SWIMMING: Brittany Davis placed 59th in the preliminary heat of the 400 meter free (4:17.60) at the NCAA championships in College Station, Texas, failing to make the finals.

OUTDOOR TRACK: The Utah State track team starts the outdoor season at the Cal Poly Invitational on Saturday in San Luis Obispo, California.

GOLF: Weber State freshman Marci Hoover has been named the Big Sky Golfer of the Week. Hoover finished in 11th place at the Thompson Rainbow Invitational.
