A man was arrested in West Valley Justice Court this past week for allegedly touching a woman's breast.
The man, who turned 44 Tuesday, was escorted out of a courtroom Monday for allegedly playing with a woman's hair, said West Valley Police Capt. Craig Black.
Outside the courtroom, the man struck up a conversation with another female. While talking to the teenage girl the man allegedly touched her breast after telling her that she had something on her shirt and attempting to brush it off, Black said.
A court bailiff saw what was happening and placed the man under arrest. Black said the man has a prior sex offense conviction.
A check of court records by the Deseret Morning News showed the man has a lengthy criminal history including arrests for aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner and attempted sex abuse.
