Utah Valley State College's Plant Identification Team took fourth place in a contest sponsored by the Society for Range Management.
True to the group's name, members were required to recall the names of plants.
The group of six students defeated teams from the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Teams were given 60 seconds to identify the family, genus and species of the specimen as they were shown pictures of 100 typical plants.
